Photo-etched parts for a model of the carrier fighter Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat in 1:32 scale. An add-on to a finished kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Grumman F6F Hellcat was a carrier fighter of the US Navy from the Second World War. It entered the fighting in the Pacific in 1943 and quickly became the main type on the decks of the aircraft carriers. It was a rugged machine with folding wings and a wide landing gear track, that is with the qualities that count more on a deck than elegance. The F6F-3 version is the first production form of the type.
A set of photo-etched parts for a model in 1:32 scale. Photo-etched metal can replace plastic parts that would come out too thick in the scale and add shapes that cannot be made by injection molding. The exact range of the parts and where each one belongs are given in the manufacturer's instructions; they also tell you which kit the set is prepared for.
The parts are held in the fret by thin tabs. Cut them through with a sharp blade on a hard surface, do not break them out, otherwise the part will twist. Make the bends in a bending tool or over the edge of a ruler and carry them out in one go, not in sections. They are bonded with super glue applied in a tiny amount, for example with the tip of a wire. Before painting, wash and degrease the metal and use a primer suitable for metal, otherwise the coat will chip during handling.
The kit of the aircraft, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
