The set holds self-adhesive, pre-printed photo-etched seat belts in steel for detailing the cockpit of a model of the American Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat carrier fighter in 1:32 scale. The STEEL range is easy to shape and reproduces the natural sag of fabric belts faithfully. This is not an aircraft kit but an accessory. It comes from the Czech company Eduard.
The Grumman F6F Hellcat was an American carrier fighter of the Second World War that became the backbone of US Navy carrier aviation in the Pacific. The F6F-3 was the first production variant and contributed substantially to air superiority over the Japanese.
The steel belts are self-adhesive and hold their shape well, so they can be draped naturally over the seat. Separate the parts with a sharp knife; a drop of super glue can be added for a firmer hold. The printed color needs no painting.
This is an add-on set, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
