1:32 Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIb is a masking set for a model of the British fighter in 1:32 scale. These are pre-cut masks for the glazing, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A masking set from the Czech maker Eduard for a model of the Hurricane Mk.IIb in 1:32 scale. The masks are pre-cut to shape, so there is no cutting tape along the frames and no guessing where exactly an edge should end. The set carries the standard designation without the TFace qualifier; Eduard makes the versions prepared for the inner side of the glazing separately.
The Hawker Hurricane is a British single-engine fighter of mixed construction, combining a metal frame with a covering. The Mk.II version was powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin XX series engine, and the letter b in the designation refers to the wing with twelve .303 machine guns. The cockpit glazing of the Hurricane has pronounced framing and a fixed rear canopy, so masking it by hand is slow.
Wash and degrease the glazing before applying the masks. Lift the masks with tweezers and press them down with a toothpick, mainly along the edges. Apply the paint in thin coats; one thick coat will seep under the edge. Spray the base of the frames with the interior color first and only then with the exterior shade, and the transition will not show through anywhere. Take the masks off as soon as the paint is dry to the touch.
The set is an accessory to a kit, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
