He 219 A-0 MK 108 Set is a metal detail accessory in 1:32 depicting the MK 108 cannons of 30 mm caliber.
Responsibility details are not available.
An aftermarket detail set in 1:32 scale from Zoukei-Mura for a model of the He 219 A-0 Uhu night fighter. The package combines turned metal barrels and resin bodies for the weapons and makes it possible to render the armament with MK 108 cannons of 30 mm caliber. It is an accessory to a model, not an aircraft on its own.
The MK 108 was a German automatic cannon of 30 mm caliber with a short barrel and a lower muzzle velocity, more compact than the more powerful MK 103. It was one of the key cannons of German night fighters. The He 219 Uhu was a twin-engine night fighter of the Luftwaffe of the Second World War, with obliquely upward-firing armament among other features.
Degrease the metal barrels, remove any burrs and join them to the resin bodies with cyanoacrylate. Wash the resin free of release agent and cut off the casting blocks. Paint the metal parts over a primer with good adhesion; turned metal gives the muzzles a sharpness that plastic cannot offer.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
