A conversion set with decals for a model of the Heinkel He 219 A-0 night fighter in 1:32 scale, prepared for Revell kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Heinkel He 219 was a twin-engine two-seat night fighter of the Luftwaffe from the end of the Second World War. It differed from most contemporary machines in its nose landing gear, which made taxiing and landing at night easier for the crew, and in its roomy cabin for the pilot and the second crew member. The designation A-0 belongs to the early production form, which modelers take a lasting interest in precisely for the ways it differs from the later machines.
The conversion set in 1:32 scale turns the kit into the He 219 A-0 form, and decals are part of the package. The range of parts, where they go and the marking options are described in the manufacturer's instructions enclosed with the set. The set is prepared for Revell kits, so compare the instructions against the kit you have at home before building.
A conversion usually means cutting into the parts of the kit, so read the whole set of instructions through before you make the first cut, and try the parts dry first. Cut excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the surface flat. Wash and degrease everything before painting. Apply the decals only over a dry, smooth, glossy coat, so that no air is left underneath and the edges do not show; once dry, go over them with a matte varnish.
The set is meant for modelers who already have several kits behind them and want to build one particular form of the machine instead of the boxed version. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
