A colored cockpit interior 3D decal in 1:32 scale from Quinta Studio. This is not an airplane model but a set of embossed color decals with which you can detail the cockpit of the Italeri injection-molded kit of the Italian Macchi MC.202 Folgore fighter in its early version. The set replaces laborious painting and photo-etched parts.
A 3D decal is a thin embossed decal printed in color and with relief. It transfers from the backing paper much like a wet decal and gives the instrument panel, the side consoles and the belts faithful colors, dials and switches in a single step. The result looks three-dimensional and stays legible even under a magnifier, without your having to paint the tiny details.
Dip the sheet briefly in lukewarm water, about fifteen seconds, and the part will slide off the backing paper onto the gloss varnish. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution; the chemistry attacks the printed resin and ruins the part. Keep in mind that the set is prepared for the early version, and follow the instructions.
