Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109E-7 fighter in 1:32 scale from Trumpeter. This large, detailed model of the Emil offers a richly appointed cockpit, a well broken-up engine bay and the angular glazing typical of the E series. Thanks to the large scale the extent of the detail stands out; the set usually holds photo-etched parts as well.
The Bf 109E-7 was an improved version of the Emil which, compared with the older E-3, gained the ability to carry a rack under the fuselage onto which an auxiliary fuel tank or a bomb could be hung. The auxiliary tank considerably increased the range, which extended the combat usefulness of the E series from the end of 1940. Some of the machines also received a tropical filter for use in the Mediterranean and in North Africa. In other respects the Emil remained typical with its angular canopy, the straight lines of the wing and the nose oil cooler, so even the E-7 shows at first glance that it belongs to the early E series.
First finish the cockpit and the engine bay, and only then close the fuselage. Protect the angular glazing with masks. Spray a primer as the base and then the RLM scheme; accentuate the panels with a wash and suggest wear on the edges with dry-brushing. Add the external tank and the markings according to the decal sheet.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
