An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109F-4 fighter in 1:32 scale from Trumpeter. The kit offers a richly rendered surface, a detailed cockpit, clear parts and photo-etched components. Once assembled it yields a large and faithful model of one of the best known fighters of the Second World War in the Friedrich version.
The F version, nicknamed Friedrich, brought an aerodynamically reworked fuselage, new rounded wingtips and a revised cooling system. The armament was concentrated in the nose in the form of a pair of machine guns and a cannon firing through the propeller hub. The F-4 version was powered by the more powerful DB 601E engine and was among the best performing variants of the early Bf 109 line.
First finish the cockpit and the engine section, and only then close the fuselage. Glue with liquid cement for plastic and use a primer and an airbrush. The typical mottled camouflage can be managed with an airbrush, with fine transitions between the shades and a discreet wash in the panel lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
