Master Box Napoleon's Red Lancer - Napoleonic War Series (1:32) is a plastic set of a mounted lancer of Napoleon's guard with a girl and a horse, to be assembled and painted.
Responsibility details are not available.
This figure set from the Ukrainian manufacturer Master Box in 1:32 scale opens the Napoleonic range and presents a mounted lancer - one of the red lancers of the Imperial Guard - with his horse, being watered along the way by a local girl. The set combines a mounted figure, a horse and a civilian figure into a storytelling scene suited to standing alone as a mini diorama. It is an injection-molded plastic kit to be glued and painted.
After the Kingdom of Holland was annexed to France, the second lancer regiment of the Imperial Guard was formed from Dutch volunteers in 1810. Their conspicuous red uniforms made them known as the Red Lancers. They distinguished themselves in a number of battles but suffered heavily during the campaign in Russia. The set captures the uniform and equipment of this elite cavalry regiment of the early 19th century.
Glue the figures and the horse with cement for plastic after cleaning up the parting lines. A primer works well; build the bright red uniform over a lighter base so that it keeps its depth, and set it off with the sheen of the leather gear and the metal of the weapons. Work the horse's coat with glazes and blends. The scene will stand out on a base with groundwork.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
