1:32 North American B-25H Mitchell – a color 3D instrument panel is a detail set from the Kits-World brand printed on decal paper. It is applied like a decal, not like a glued part.
Responsibility details are not available.
A color instrument panel in 1:32 scale from the Kits-World brand, done as a full-color print on decal paper with a three-dimensional, so-called 3D effect. The dials and bezels have relief, so once applied the panel does not come across as flat. The set is not a kit and not a resin part – it is applied in the same way as a decal, in place of the plastic panel from the box or over it. We recommend checking the match with the model you are building.
The North American B-25 Mitchell is an American twin-engine medium bomber with a twin vertical tail. The B-25H version was among the attack guises with heavy gun armament in the nose and with a markedly reworked crew station: the pilot sat alone in it, without a second pilot, so the layout of the instrument panel and the center console changed as well. The arrangement of the instruments on this version therefore differs from the later B-25J, which matters when choosing a set. In 1:32 scale the cabin is sizable and open, so the panel is clearly visible.
First sand the plastic panel from the kit smooth and spray it over with matte black or dark gray paint, so that no plastic shows through under the thin film. Snip the panel of decal paper out tightly along the outline, soak it for a few seconds in lukewarm water and let it rest. Seat it damp and carefully push the air bubbles out with a soft brush – because of the relief, do not press, so that the three-dimensional effect is not squashed. Use decal softener sparingly and preferably in several thin layers. Once dry, the dials can be brought out with a drop of gloss varnish imitating glass, and the whole panel fixed with matte varnish.
The set holds printed parts on decal paper. The kit, paints and varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
