On a model of a single-engine fighter the propeller is the first thing a viewer sees, and at the same time the part on which a kit most often cuts corners. This set offers a finished propeller of the Hamilton Standard type in 1:32 scale for a model of the P-47 Thunderbolt. It replaces the part out of the kit and saves the work of truing the blades up.
With a finished part, truing the blades into one plane and their lengthy cleaning up over the whole surface fall away, after which the shape of the blade tends to be narrower than it should be. In a large scale it is precisely the profile of the blade and its trailing edge that are visible at first glance. The Thunderbolt was an exceptionally sturdy single-engine fighter and the large diameter of the propeller belongs inseparably to its silhouette, so it pays not to settle on this part.
What is supplied is an accessory to a build, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. Go by the manufacturer's instructions when preparing the part.
