1:32 P-51D seatbelts STEEL is a colored photo-etched set of steel safety belts from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, intended for detailing the cockpit of a model of the P-51D Mustang fighter in 1:32 scale. It is not a model but an accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set brings pre-painted seatbelts for the pilot's seat, etched from thin steel. Steel sheet is more flexible than brass, so the belts can be shaped faithfully and left to drape naturally over the seat. The set is intended for plastic models of the P-51D Mustang fighter in 1:32 scale and markedly raises the realism of the cockpit compared with the plastic parts. It is an accessory for collectors; the airplane model itself and glue are not included.
The North American P-51D Mustang was an American single-seat fighter of the Second World War. Thanks to its Packard engine (a license-built Rolls-Royce Merlin) and its great range it became the key long-range escort for Allied bombers over Germany. Its bubble canopy is characteristic and is clearly visible on this type, which is why a detailed interior pays off.
Separate the parts carefully from the fret with a sharp knife on a mat. Shape the steel belts with tweezers and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); remove any excess only once it has dried. The colored surface is sensitive to solvents, so work with a small amount of glue. Make any touch-ups in acrylics with a fine brush.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. It requires a separately bought P-51D kit in the matching scale. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
