A sheet of waterslide decals with RAF code letters and numbers in 1:32 scale. The size variant marked in the name with the number 30.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Royal Air Force carried large letters on the sides of the fuselage: a pair belonged to the squadron and a single letter to the particular aircraft. Beside them, numerals appeared on the airframe, whether as part of the serial number or as a training designation. In 1:32 scale these characters are large and a badly executed shape shows on a model at first glance.
The sheet carries code letters and numerals in one size variant, which the number 30 in the name sets apart; the same line also includes variant 24 beside it. You cut the characters out of the sheet according to the machine you are building, so from one sheet you can usually put together markings for several different models.
The base under the decal has to be glossy, otherwise air is trapped under the carrier film and a matte outline is left around the character. Cut the character out close to the edge of the print, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest until it starts to shift on the paper. Then transfer it to the model, squeeze the water out from underneath it with a soft brush and add a softener so that the decal settles into the panel lines. Once dry, clear-coat the surface.
The model, paints and decal softener are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
