The figure 1:32 RAF mechanics personnel 1940-45 N°4 from Black Dog extends the British line of aircraft ground personnel in 1:32 scale with a fourth number.
Responsibility details are not available.
The fourth number of the British line of aircraft ground personnel in 1:32 scale. It was created as a counterpart to number three, so the two figures can be set into one group, yet each stands up on its own.
More interesting than an ordinary daytime stand is the night preparation of a bomber: wet concrete, reflections, a lamp, a blanket thrown over the engine cowling. The second option is a winter morning, with the frost being wiped off the machine and the personnel dressing in layers. Both variants allow you to work with light and with the surface of the ground, which does the figure more good than further accessories. Light is decisive in a night scene: a single source shining from the side gives the figure a strong outline, while even illumination flattens it.
Looser work jackets take a muted palette and heavily emphasized folds. Do not mix the blue-gray too cold, or it will turn plain gray; a drop of a warm brown tone keeps it alive. If you set the figure into a wet scene, grade the sheen: trouser legs and boots slightly glossy, shoulders and chest matte. Keep white highlighting only on the topmost edges of the folds, otherwise the clothing loses its volume.
