This is NOT an airplane kit but a detail set for models of the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt fighter (the D and N versions) in 1:32 scale. The set contains turned brass blast tubes for the .50 caliber Browning machine guns, parts of the gunsight and a pitot tube. It combines turned brass with additional parts, so the gun muzzles and the probes look considerably more realistic than they do in plastic.
The P-47 Thunderbolt was a massive American fighter and ground attack aircraft of the Second World War, armed with eight .50 caliber Browning M2 machine guns in the wings. A robust airframe and a radial engine made it a tough machine both for escorting bombers and for attacks on ground targets.
Cut the original plastic barrels and probes off, clean the holes up and set the metal parts in place with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the parts before painting. Brass makes it possible to leave the bare metal showing or to paint it over according to the scheme.
The set is supplied unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
