Special Hobby 1:32 RP-3 60Lb SAP is an accessory set of British Second World War aircraft rockets in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane model but armament and an accessory for a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech manufacturer Special Hobby contains British RP-3 unguided aircraft rockets with the 60Lb SAP (semi-armor-piercing) head in 1:32 scale, together with launch rails and a decal sheet for the rocket markings. It is not an airplane model but an accessory with which you arm a model of a British ground-attack or strike aircraft. According to the manufacturer the set includes eight rockets and a matching number of rails.
The RP-3 (Rocket Projectile 3 inch) was a widely used British aircraft rocket of the Second World War. It was carried by a range of Royal Air Force and Fleet Air Arm aircraft, from the Typhoon, Hurricane and Tempest fighter-bombers through the Mosquito to the anti-shipping Beaufighter and anti-submarine machines. The 60Lb SAP variant had a semi-armor-piercing head effective against fortified and shipping targets.
Separate the parts from the sprue with a sharp knife and clean them up. Assemble the rockets and the rails, paint them separately from the aircraft and attach them under the wings of the base model. Use cement for plastic; a primer and matte colors suit the metallic look of the heads, and apply the decals onto a smooth varnished surface.
This is an accessory set, not a standalone airplane model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue and paints are not included.
