In the large 1:32 scale the features of the face, the folds of the clothing and the small items of equipment stand out, so the figure takes a close look. It is supplied unpainted and with casting blocks that have to be removed before the build; the exact number of parts of the casting and the particular pose are not stated.
Fighter pilots of the Second World War wore equipment according to the season and the type of machine: a flying helmet, goggles, a flight suit or a tunic, parachute harness and high boots. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a knife, because resin is brittle and cracks when nipped. Do the sanding under water or with breathing protection. Glue the joints with cyanoacrylate glue; cement for plastic does not work here. Apply the base in a thin coat, build the flesh and the clothing up in glazes coat by coat and finally fine-tune the contrast with a dark wash in the folds and a light dry brush on the edges. If you are building both figures of the line, paint them together so that the shades match.
The figure is supplied unpainted and unassembled. Paints, glue and a model of an aircraft are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
