1:32 Soviet fighter pilots WW II set is a resin set of figures of Soviet fighter pilots of the Second World War in 1:32 scale from the Black Dog brand.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of figures cast in resin in 1:32 scale. Unlike the individual items of the same line, which each offer one figure, this is a package with more than one figure, as the plural in the name suggests. The exact number of figures and their poses are not stated. The figures are supplied unpainted and with casting blocks that have to be removed before the build. In the large 1:32 scale the features of the face and the folds of the clothing stand out, so the set takes a close look and it pays to devote time to painting it.
Fighter pilots of the Second World War dressed according to the season and the type of machine: a flying helmet with goggles, a flight suit or a tunic, parachute harness and high boots. A group of figures beside an aircraft does with a scene what one figure cannot: a relationship arises between them, a story, and above all a comprehensible sense of scale for the whole machine. The set is reckoned for models of single-seat fighters in 1:32 scale and for airfield dioramas.
First wash all the castings in warm water with detergent because of the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a knife, not with nippers. Do the sanding under water or with breathing protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the figures from the set at the same time and with the same shades of flesh and clothing, so that they belong together in the resulting scene; then make small differences only in the details, such as a scarf, gloves or equipment. Fine-tune the contrast with a dark wash in the folds and with a dry brush on the edges.
The figures are supplied unpainted and unassembled. Paints, glue and a model of an aircraft are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
