A detail set, not an aircraft model. It is a resin cockpit set for a model of the legendary British fighter Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IX in 1:32 scale. The set replaces the cockpit from the box with a faithfully cast tube frame, instrument panel, side consoles and seat. Intended for experienced modelers.
The characteristic Spitfire cockpit with its tube frame and richly detailed side walls is a striking feature in the large 1:32 scale. The resin castings carry fine relief of the instruments, levers and cables, completed by photo-etched parts and a film with dials. Under an opened canopy this makes a convincing, deeply detailed pilot's space.
It is a resin detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
