This set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard holds photo-etched parts in thin sheet for detailing the outer surface of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IX fighter in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for a basic plastic model.
The photo-etched parts refine the external elements of the airframe that are simplified in injection-molded plastic, typically access panels, fasteners, grilles, reinforcements and other small exterior details. The model thus gains scale crispness and a faithful surface.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a surface, shape the bends over a metal bending tool and fix them with cyanoacrylate glue or epoxy. Degrease the sheet before gluing and work with tweezers. Color the fitted parts to match their surroundings.
This is an add-on set, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
