Masks for type A national insignia for a model of the Spitfire Mk.Vb in the tropical form, 1:32 scale, for a Hobby Boss kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Spitfire Mk.Vb belonged among the most widespread subversions of this British fighter aircraft. The qualifier Trop designates the adaptation for operation in a hot and dusty environment, which is given away at first glance by the enlarged filter housing under the nose. Machines equipped in this way served mainly in the Mediterranean and in North Africa, where an unmodified engine would not have lasted long in the dust.
Masking elements for type A national insignia, that is, for the insignia made up of concentric circles, in 1:32 scale. According to the name the set is prepared for a Hobby Boss kit and it carries the designation of a corrected form; what the correction consists of against the earlier release is given in the manufacturer's instructions. You choose the color shades according to the coloring you have chosen; they are not in the set.
The insignia are sprayed in layers, from the center outward, and the paint is left to dry thoroughly between the individual steps. Against decals, a sprayed insignia has the advantage that it creates no glossy edge of a carrier film anywhere.
For a modeler who is building the Spitfire Mk.Vb in the tropical form in 1:32 scale and wants the national insignia sprayed, not transferred by a decal. The package contains a masking set; a kit, paints and glue are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
