The Quinta Studio set is a modern replacement for photo-etched and resin cockpit accessories. The elements are 3D-printed directly onto decal paper and arrive already colored, so you can detail the interior without bending photo-etched parts and without the laborious painting of small areas. According to the name, the box is completed by 3D-printed resin parts. The set is cut for the Revell Tornado kit in 1:32 scale, precisely because the elements copy the shape of one particular piece of plastic. The Panavia Tornado IDS is a two-seat twin-engined combat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing, intended primarily for attacks on ground targets. The crew consists of a pilot and a weapon systems officer seated in tandem, so the cockpit is long and clearly visible on a model in a large scale. German machines were operated both by the Luftwaffe and by naval aviation.
These are wet decals: the sheet is soaked in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and the element is slid off the backing paper. A softener or a setter has no place with them, as the chemistry attacks the printed resin and ruins the element. The elements are transferred onto a cleaned surface sealed with gloss varnish, whose shape they copy, and the areas under the decal should be evened out in advance with a darker shade so that no bare plastic shows through anywhere. Finish the whole cockpit before you close up the fuselage.
