A resin figure of a modern fighter pilot of the US Navy in 1:32 scale from Black Dog. It is not a kit of an aircraft but an accessory to one. Stood beside a model or seated in the cockpit, the figure gives a scene scale and brings it to life. In the large 1:32 scale it is moreover worth devoting time to detail, because work on the equipment and the face is clearly seen.
Two separate figures of a modern US Navy pilot are made, number 1 and number 2, and a joint set alongside them. This is the separate figure number 2. Check the particular pose and equipment on the package.
Wash the casting first in lukewarm water with detergent, so that release agent disappears from the surface. Cut the casting blocks off rather than snapping them, and sand the marks left by them down wet with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue; plastic cement will not help here. Lay filler primer on before painting, then the basic tone of the flight suit and the vest, the shadows and a dry brush on the straps and buckles. Leave the face until the end and work in good light, since on a large figure even a small inaccuracy shows through.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the model of the aircraft are not included in the package.
