The real subject

Building and painting tips

Wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent before painting and let them dry off, so that the paint holds. Cut the excess material and the marks of manufacture off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and then sand the area with fine abrasive paper. Paint the face and hands in a flesh shade, put a darker tone into the shadows and go lightly over the edges of the clothing with a dry brush. Suggest oil stains on the working clothes with a thin dark paint, not with a continuous layer.
