A detailed resin set of replacement wheels for Messerschmitt Me-262 models in 1:48 scale, the Type 2 version. It is a landing gear accessory, not an aircraft kit. The wheels are weighted with a realistic bulge of the tire. The manufacturer is the Ukrainian brand Reskit.
The Me-262 Schwalbe was the first jet fighter in the world to enter series service, with a pair of engines under the wing and nosewheel landing gear. Even in 1:48 scale the tires and wheel hubs are a clearly visible detail that a resin casting lifts.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Prime the wheels before painting and set the contact face perpendicular to the ground.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unpainted and unassembled; paints and glue are not included in the package.
