Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of one Soviet T-26 light tank in the single-turret model 1933 form. The parts are cast in resin, so it is a kit for more experienced modelers: the castings are cut from the casting blocks and glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The 1:100 scale is typical of tabletop battles and of collections where as many types of equipment as possible are to come together on a single shelf.
The T-26 was based on the British Vickers Mk.E. While the earliest series had two small turrets side by side, the model 1933 received a single cylindrical turret with a gun and became the most widespread form of the whole type. Over ten thousand were built, which made it one of the most numerous tanks of the 1930s. It fought in Spain, at Khalkhin Gol, in the Winter War with Finland and in the first year of the war with Germany, where the age of the design had already caught up with it.
Wash the castings, cut off the casting blocks and level the surfaces by sanding wet and with respiratory protection. Cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) holds the joints, and tweezers help with the tiny parts. Apply a primer before painting. In a small scale contrast tells: a dark wash into the recesses, a lighter dry brush on the edges and dust on the underside of the hull. Details such as grab handles and lights are better merely suggested with paint.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
