According to the name, the set holds two turned metal barrels for the aircraft version of the Browning machine gun, with flash hiders added. It is not a kit or a whole weapon; it is a replacement for the plastic parts, which never look fine enough in this scale. Turned metal holds a circular cross-section, a thin wall at the muzzle and a straight axis, which is practically impossible to achieve with injection-molded plastic.
The Browning in its aircraft form was one of the most widespread machine guns of the Second World War. It was mounted in both fixed and flexible aircraft mountings, and in ground use it also appeared on vehicles. The flash hider at the muzzle reduced dazzle for the crew while firing, which mattered mainly at night and when firing from cover. A detail like this is clearly visible on a model and tends to be one of the first places where careful building shows.
Seat the metal barrel into the plastic part carefully, and widen the hole beforehand with a fine drill bit, so that you do not have to push. Make the joint with a small drop of cyanoacrylate. Metal is not absorbent, so degrease the surface before painting and use a primer, or the paint will rub off while handling. It is better to leave the muzzle of the barrel darker and slightly sooty, as that looks more believable than an even metallic shine.
