Resin landing flaps in 1:200 scale for models of the wide-body Lockheed L-1011 TriStar with RB211-524 engines. A refining accessory from LACI.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set in cast resin makes it possible to render the landing flaps of the wing in the extended position and to replace the smoothly molded parts of a plastic kit with them. The variant is intended for the version with RB211-524 engines. It is a refining accessory, not a model in its own right.
The Lockheed L-1011 TriStar was an American wide-body three-engine airliner powered by Rolls-Royce RB211 engines. It was used on medium as well as long-haul routes and became known for the advanced flight control systems of its day. Extended flaps give a model on a stand the realistic look of an aircraft on approach or on the apron.
Wash the mold release agent off the small castings, cut the casting blocks off carefully and clean them up gently with respiratory protection. Line them up into the recesses in the wing and glue them with super glue. Apply a filler primer before painting and match the shades to the finish of the model.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
