Star Decals 1:35 Indochine, part 7 — French M5A1 Stuart (early and late turrets) is a sheet of wet decals with the markings of French light Stuart tanks from the war in Indochina.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of water-lifted (wet) decals in 1:35 scale from the maker Star Decals. It contains markings for the M5A1 Stuart light tanks of the French army deployed during the war in Indochina, in the versions with the early as well as the late turret. It is a separate decal sheet, not a kit — it serves for finishing off a completed model of the M5A1 Stuart at this scale.
The M5A1 Stuart was an American light tank with a pair of engines, supplied to the Allies in great numbers. The French army deployed it along with other equipment of American manufacture in Indochina in the years after the Second World War. The machines differed in the form of the turret and in their tactical and unit markings, which this sheet covers for the early as well as the late variant.
Apply the decals onto a smooth surface provided with a gloss varnish — a matte base causes what is known as silvering (a silvery haze under the film). After sliding them off the soaked paper, we recommend using a softener and a setting solution, so that a decal settles over rivets and edges as well. Finally go over the area with a matte or semi-gloss varnish and thus unify the surface with the surrounding paint.
This is a decal sheet only. The model, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package.
