The second part of the thematic Befehlspanzer series from Star Decals. The sheet in 1:72 scale is an addition for finishing a model and is devoted purely to vehicles of the staff service: the command Bef.Pz. III in the Ausf D1, E, H, J, K and L versions and the observation vehicle Beob.Pz III Ausf G.
The command versions of the PzKpfw III came into being because of the extended radio equipment. The early Ausf D1 and E vehicles carried a conspicuous frame antenna above the engine compartment and had a dummy in place of the gun, because the transmitting equipment took up the room in the fighting compartment. The later Ausf J, K and L already kept a working gun and were recognized mainly by their additional aerials. The observation Beob.Pz served the artillery batteries for directing fire and rode in formation with armored howitzers. The markings of staff vehicles tended to be restrained, which makes them stand out all the more on a model.
Prepare a smooth glossy base and a soft mat to work on. Let the design soak, slide it into place and press it down through a damp towel. With small numbers in a small scale tweezers with flat jaws help. Apply softener drop by drop and do not move the design any more until it has dried.
