1:16 Headers C/1 is an add-on set of replacement heads for figures in the large 1:16 scale, designated as the first part of group C.

The set belongs among the small accessories used to modify a figure that already exists. It is therefore not a model or a kit: these are separate heads that are cut off a production figure and replaced, so that a scene does not look like a row of identical faces. Firma49 makes these sets in the large 1:16 scale and in smaller scales too, and the C/1 designation tells you that this is the first part of group C.
In a large scale the face is the most conspicuous place on the whole figure. Replacing the head can therefore turn an ordinary figure into a character of its own, or bring the look of a group of figures from different sources into line. Modelers also reach for replacement heads when the shape of the original face strikes them as soft, or when they need the gaze turned a different way.
Cut the neck with some margin and fine-tune the joint with a file, and only then fit the head for good; a dry run shows whether the tilt and the line of sight both sit right. Degrease the part before painting and apply a thin base, so that the relief of the eyes and lips is not lost. Build the flesh tone with glazes and draw the transitions between light and shadow along the cheekbones. The hair and the beard respond well to a fine dry brush, which lifts the detail. Finally unify the surface with matte varnish and leave a slight gloss only in the eyes.
