Needle 0.50 mm from Fine Art is a replacement needle for an airbrush 0.50 mm in diameter for covering areas.
Responsibility details are not available.
A replacement needle five tenths of a millimeter in diameter. The half-millimeter set is used where flow matters: base coats, filler primers, matte and gloss varnishes or thicker paints that pass through a fine nozzle with difficulty. The pattern is wider, the work faster and the risk of clogging noticeably lower.
The difference between three and five tenths of a millimeter shows mainly on large areas. The fuselages of large aircraft, the bodies of vehicles or terrain bases are tedious to spray with a fine needle, and the paint at the edge has time to dry before the area joins up. A heavier needle allows a greater distance and lower pressure, so the surface stays smooth and free of grain. Do not expect detailed rendering, though; for that a finer pair is needed.
After every session, slide the needle out backwards, wipe the remains of paint off with a soft cloth and only then set about the nozzle. Dried paint at the point is the most common reason an airbrush stops spraying evenly. Never straighten the point with pliers, and tighten the needle chuck only enough for the needle not to give way when the trigger is pressed. A replacement needle in storage deserves the packaging it came in.
