It is not a kit and not photo-etch - these are raised, fully colored details on backing decal paper that are transferred onto the model by dipping in water. This specialized set is focused on the extended forward avionics bays (EFAB) and the adjacent equipment of the model of the AH-64D Apache attack helicopter.
The AH-64 Apache is an American attack helicopter with richly equipped avionics. The extended forward avionics bays on the sides of the fuselage hide densely arranged electronic modules - and it is their faithful rendering that this set brings in full color.
Coat the surfaces of the bays with gloss varnish beforehand (Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22). Cut the part out, dip it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the backing paper into place with tweezers. The part has no adhesive layer of its own; it holds on the gloss varnish, and on a broken-up surface a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, as they would attack the printed resin.
This is an accessory, not a model of the helicopter. The kit itself and the paints are not included in the package.
