CMK 1:72 P-40 landing gear bays is a resin set that adds the structure of the landing gear bays and canvas covers for a model of the P-40 fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detail resin set in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker CMK. This is not an aircraft model but an accessory that replaces and refines the landing gear area of the P-40 fighter. It contains the structure of the landing gear bays and canvas covers, which on a finished model create faithful and boldly rendered wells.
The Curtiss P-40 was an American fighter of the Second World War with an Allison V engine and a distinctive nose. It was used on practically every front and is one of the best known Allied machines of the period. The detail of the landing gear bays is one of the places where production plastic often does not reach the necessary depth.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); protect your airways while sanding. Dry fit the bays first in their seating. The inside of the wells is usually painted in a lighter shade, and a fine wash brings out the structure and the riveting.
The accessory is supplied unpainted as a resin set. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
