A pair of miniatures of the AK-74MN assault rifle with a full-length laminated wood stock, in 1:35 scale. An accessory for figures and for the equipment of dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
The AK-74 is an assault rifle of 5.45 mm caliber, which in the Soviet army replaced the older 7.62 mm Kalashnikovs and has remained in service in the armies of the successor states to this day. The form of the weapon changed during production mainly in the design of the stock and the handguard; the name of this set defines an example with a full-length laminated wood stock, that is, not a folding one. In building dioramas a rifle is a rewarding accessory, because on its own it sets both the period and the army.
According to the name these are two pieces of the weapon in 1:35 scale, that is, a pair for two figures or for a figure and a weapon laid aside. For the exact method of preparation and gluing, follow the manufacturer's instructions, in particular when choosing the glue to suit the material of the parts.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the remainder carefully, so as not to disturb the shape of the barrel and the magazine. Match the choice of glue to the material of the parts. Wash and degrease the surface before painting, otherwise the paint holds badly on a smooth surface. The wooden parts stand out if you lay a thin coat of a brown shade over the base and accentuate the edges with a dry brush.
The figures, the vehicle, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
