An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet heavy armored car BA-10 in 1:35 scale from Zvezda. The model captures a wheeled armored car with a rotating turret carrying a gun, built on the chassis of a three-axle truck. The box holds the parts for building the hull, the turret and the chassis; check the exact decal schemes against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The BA-10 was the most widely used Soviet heavy armored car of the late 1930s and the early part of the Second World War. It was built on a strengthened three-axle truck chassis driving the rear two axles, and in its rotating turret it carried a 45 mm gun backed by machine guns - the same armament as the light tanks of the day. The cars served for reconnaissance, liaison and fire support and were deployed on many sectors of the Eastern Front.
Assemble and paint the chassis and the running gear, and only then finish the hull with the turret. Bond the parts with thin cement for plastic and cut the small parts away carefully. Once the uniform green camouflage and a clear coat are on, bring out the details with a dark wash and add dust and mud pigments on the wheels and the lower hull for the convincing weathering of a field vehicle.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
