This resin set in 1:35 scale from the Polish company PANZER ART contains cast wheels of the Soviet light armored car BA-20 with tires of the tread pattern of the Yaroslavl works (Yaroslavsky Zavod), form No. 2. It is not a model but replacement wheels for higher detail on a kit.
The BA-20 was a Soviet light armored car derived from the GAZ-M1 passenger car, used for liaison and reconnaissance from the 1930s on. As a wheeled vehicle it stood on tires whose tread pattern differed according to the maker; the form No. 2 of the Yaroslavl works differs in the rendering of the tread. The castings capture both the tread pattern and the flattening of the tire under load.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut the casting blocks away and clean the surfaces up with respiratory protection. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Set the wheel down with the flattened part against the base for a convincing impression of a loaded tire. Paint the rubber dark and add dust and mud effects.
This is a resin accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
