Responsibility details are not available.
A shade from the aircraft range of acrylic paints by the Spanish brand AK interactive, belonging to the set of colors of the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force of the Second World War. The Japanese name Hairanshoku describes a gray tone with a blue, indigo cast. The paint is water-based, comes in 17 ml and dries to a satin, that is semi-flat, surface. The shades of this sub-range were arrived at through detailed research into period Japanese finishes, which is a real advantage on a subject where the trade and the published figures often disagree.
This is a water-based acrylic, not an enamel and not a lacquer, and the thinner and cleaner should be chosen accordingly. It is thinned with the same brand's acrylic thinner or with water; thinners for enamels and lacquers have no place in it and would curdle the finish. The consistency is ready for the airbrush, so in an airbrush you usually need not thin it further, while with a brush you should apply it in thin coats. It goes off quickly and reaches full cure after about a day. The odor is minimal, which anyone working in a living room will appreciate.
For modelers building Japanese aircraft who want a shade from a coherent, historically verified palette rather than mixing their own. Thanks to its water base and satin surface the paint is universally usable, in an airbrush and with a brush, on large areas and on detail.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use. Work in a well-ventilated space, use a respirator and extraction when spraying. Keep out of the reach of children and protect from frost.
