Star Decals 1:35 Balkan ZSU-57-2 is a sheet of water-slide decals with the markings of self-propelled anti-aircraft guns from the conflicts on the territory of the former Yugoslavia.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of classic water-slide (wet) decals in 1:35 scale from Star Decals. The sheet holds markings for the ZSU-57-2 self-propelled anti-aircraft guns deployed by the various sides of the Balkan conflicts, among them the Yugoslav army and the Croatian, Serb, Bosnian and Slovenian forces. It offers tactical numbers, insignia and lettering for more than one machine.
The real subject is the ZSU-57-2 tracked vehicle with an open turret and a pair of 57 mm guns, originally intended for anti-aircraft defense. During the breakup of Yugoslavia this equipment was widely used for direct fire support against ground targets as well. The various warring sides used varied improvised markings and camouflage.
Apply the decals onto a smooth surface gone over with gloss varnish, so that no silvering effect arises under the film. Cut the designs out close to the printing, dip them briefly in lukewarm water and slide them onto the model. For settling onto detail use a decal softener, and fix the finished markings with a matte varnish.
This is a sheet of decals on its own. A model, paints and varnish are not included in the package.
