A resin set of figures in 1:35 from the figure line of the maker PANZER ART. The figures are modeled in working poses while loading 75 mm ammunition, and the uniforms match a British armored unit marked RAC in the pattern for North Africa. The package contains several figures. The manufacturer also offers the same poses as single figures with a sequence number.
The set is built as a finished scene: the figures pass the load to each other and together create action, so it works well beside a vehicle model or by open crates. A resin casting holds a sharp rendering of the stretched sleeves, the straps and the folds, which show most with a carried load. The figures tend to be split into a torso, a head and arms, and the parting lines run under the collar and in the sleeves.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with dish soap and let them dry out. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand the surfaces down with your airways protected. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue, fill the gaps with filler and sand them down, then apply a primer. In a multi-figure scene consistency matters most: mix enough of the base tone for all the uniforms at once and paint the figures in parallel, not one after another. Lighten the edges of the folds on the shoulders and in the bends of the arms, and let a darker wash into the recesses and under the arms. Finish the metal parts with a dark base and light wear with a metallic pigment. Finish the faces and the hands with oil paints in a more tanned tone of the skin. Finish the figures separately first and only then set them onto a base. At the end bring the whole group together with one matte clear coat.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
