Tamiya Zimmerit Coating Sheet Brummbär Late Production 1:35 is a self-adhesive sheet with an embossed zimmerit texture for a model of the German assault gun Brummbär of late production. This is not a kit but an accessory that makes it easier to imitate the anti-magnetic coating.

This product from Tamiya is a self-adhesive sheet, not a kit. It lets you imitate zimmerit easily - the anti-magnetic paste that German engineers applied to the surface of vehicles. The sheet carries an embossed printed pattern matching the late production version of the Brummbär assault gun in 1:35 scale and it replaces the laborious job of creating the texture by hand with putty.
In the Second World War zimmerit was applied to German combat vehicles so that magnetic anti-tank charges could not be attached to the armor. Its characteristic ribbed texture otherwise has to be built up laboriously by hand. The self-adhesive sheet is simply cut to the shape of the parts, stuck onto the model and painted over - which gives a realistic surface with no risk of uneven work by hand.
The sheet is cut to the individual armor areas and stuck onto a clean, degreased surface of the model. Press the edges down carefully so that nothing lifts. Once it is on, the whole surface is painted like the rest of the vehicle; the texture comes out after dry brushing and adding weathering (a wash, pigments).
This is an accessory for a plastic model, not a kit in its own right. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
