This photo-etched brass set brings thin exterior parts for detailing a model of the British Crusader Mk.III tank in 1:35 scale. They are used to replace thick plastic sections and to add fine points such as fenders, track guards, grilles and mountings. It is an accessory for more advanced modelers; the base kit and glue are not included.
The Crusader Mk.III was a British cruiser tank of the Second World War, deployed prominently in the North African campaign. The Mk.III version carried a 6-pounder gun (57 mm) in place of the earlier 2-pounder. The long track side with its characteristic guards is a rewarding place for detailing with etching.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade and make the bends with a bending tool. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the brass before painting and spray it with a primer. Desert camouflage comes to life with pigments and dust effects on the fenders and the running gear.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. It calls for a separately bought Crusader Mk.III kit in the matching scale. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
