Damaged drive sprockets for the early Pz.Kpfw. III 1:35 from PANZER ART. A resin accessory for a wreck or a damaged vehicle, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set in 1:35 scale contains the drive sprockets of the German Panzer III tank in its early form, cast with traces of battle damage. It is not a kit, but a replacement for the plastic parts on a model you already own. The set suits builds where the vehicle is to tell a story: a machine abandoned after a hit, a wreck by the roadside or a tank under repair with a wheel set down beside the hull.
The Panzer III was the main German medium tank of the first half of the war, and its drive sprocket at the front transmitted power to the track. The teeth of the sprocket ring wore down, and after a hit or a mine strike they often broke off, so the track came away and the vehicle stayed put. Damaged running gear is among the most common reasons tanks ended up abandoned, and it is seen very often in period photographs.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent and remove the mold release agent. Cut off the casting blocks with a saw, true the surface with a file and protect your airways while sanding. Resin is bonded with super glue, that is, with cyanoacrylate. Leave the damaged places in bare metal: after the base shade, rub them carefully with graphite or a dark metallic pigment and add rust around them. The track will need to be adjusted so that it matches the damaged sprocket.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
