Das Werk 1:35 Panzerkleinzerstörer Rutscher is an injection-molded plastic kit of a late-war German light anti-tank weapon carrier on a small tracked chassis.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of a small tracked vehicle from the circle of the so-called Panzerkleinzerstörer, that is the small German carriers of anti-tank weapons from the end of the Second World War. The 1:35 scale is the standard for ground equipment, so the model will fit in among the other vehicles and figures in a display case or in a diorama. Given the small size of the real subject it is a compact kit that can be built in a reasonable time.
In the last period of the war the designation Panzerkleinzerstörer was used for designs of very small tracked vehicles that were to carry anti-tank weapons and act from cover against armor at short range. It was a solution shaped by the shortage of raw materials and production capacity, where simplicity and quick manufacture were preferred over armor and range. The extent of the actual production and deployment of the individual designs in this group is not consistent in the sources.
Finish the running gear and the internal parts first, because you will not reach them once the hull is closed. Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with a thin liquid cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting and only then build the camouflage up in thin coats with an airbrush. On small vehicles the weathering shows to good effect, because every surface is in plain view: use a dark wash in the recesses and joints, a dry brush on the edges and pigments for mud and dust effects around the tracks.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
