A base for a diorama in 1:35 scale. Prepared groundwork on which you can build a scene with vehicles or figures.
Responsibility details are not available.
The base is the surface on which a diorama comes into being. It sets the size of the scene, holds all the elements together and decides how the model looks in a display case. A finished base saves the most time-consuming part of the work, that is cutting a board and shaping the surface, and the modeler can get straight on with painting and placing.
A base for a diorama in 1:35 scale. The subject of the surface, the dimensions and the number of parts are given by the manufacturer on the packaging of the set. The base is supplied as groundwork in its own right and you build the scene on it to suit your own plan.
Before you start painting, set the model and the figures out dry on the base and check that they fit the way you intended. Wash the surface and let it dry thoroughly, or the paint will hold unevenly. Cut away excess material and traces of manufacture with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the area. Choose the glue according to the material the parts are made of. Work the painting from a darker base toward lighter layers, then spread dust and grit where they would naturally gather.
For modelers who want to put a kit in 1:35 scale into a setting rather than on a bare board, and for exhibitors who need a scene prepared quickly for a competition or a display case. It also suits beginners, because there is no work with plaster or modeling compound.
Models, figures, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
