This item is neither a kit nor a figure, but a set of weapons in 1:35 scale from Dynamo-Models. A double-barreled shotgun is a civilian weapon, so it suits everywhere a diorama does not consist of soldiers alone: resistance fighters, gamekeepers, farmers, a farm watchman or civilians on the move. The name gives five pieces; the material of the parts, their dimensions and the state of the surface are stated on the box of the set.
A hunting shotgun with two barrels is a design that has essentially not changed since the end of the nineteenth century: break-open barrels, a simple lock and a stock from a single piece of wood. That is exactly why it appears in scenes across the whole twentieth century. In dioramas with a partisan or resistance subject it also carries strong meaning - it shows that the armed man is not a soldier but a civilian who reached for what he had at home. Whether the barrels are side by side or over and under is not given in the name, so it is advisable to look the parts over before building.
The stock and the forend belong on a brown base with a glaze that suggests the grain of the wood; leave the barrels dark, more toward blue-gray, and polish only the edges gently. A weapon in a figure's hand calls for patience - settle the hands first and only then the weapon, otherwise you will not achieve a natural angle. A shotgun propped against a wall or a table often looks more striking in a diorama than one being carried.
