This resin detail set from the manufacturer PANZER ART contains drive sprockets in the early pattern for the German Sd.Kfz. 7 half-track tractor. The castings replace the plastic drive sprockets of the base kit and offer sharper detail. The set is an accessory for detailing, not a kit of the whole vehicle.
The Sd.Kfz. 7 was a German medium half-track artillery tractor of the Second World War, used above all to tow guns and anti-aircraft cannon. Its track running gear was driven by front drive sprockets, whose early pattern differed in detail from the later forms – and that is what the castings match.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts and cut off the casting blocks. Glue the resin with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The detail of the drive sprockets stands out once the running gear has been painted, highlighted and brought out with a wash and pigments.
