1:35 Extra Thin Camouflage Net - Snow Grey

Camouflage net 1:35, snow gray, from AFV Club

A very thin camouflage net in 1:35 scale, manufacturer's part number AC35021. It is neither a kit nor a plastic accessory but a material: a fine mesh that you cut to the size you need and throw over a vehicle, over an artillery gun or over a building in a diorama. Of the three basic shades in this range, snow gray is the winter one; the sister numbers AC35019 and AC35020 offer desert sand and jungle green. Check the size of the enclosed piece on the box.

Use

• cut the net with sharp scissors to the outline you want to cover
• fix the soft folds with thinned PVA glue or with a matte clear coat
• metal supports lift the net above the hull so that it does not lie on the armor
• tune the shade with a light wash and pigment so the net sits with the surrounding terrain
• torn foam or dried plants can be tucked under the net as overgrown vegetation

Who the material is for

The net will be appreciated by builders of dioramas with a winter theme, by modelers of both modern and Second World War vehicles who want to break up the long flat planes of armor, and by anyone building a firing position or a shelter. Because the material is cut as needed, one package will go a long way across several models.

When cutting and fixing, work on a board and in a well-ventilated space, because both varnish and thinner are applied by spraying. Clear the fine offcuts of mesh away at once, they are easily carried around the workshop.

This is a modeling material, not a kit. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
