This is an accessory for dioramas in 1:35 scale with a street setting. At this scale a standing figure is about five centimeters tall and a car roughly thirteen, so a street is made up of genuinely small things: curbs, paving, railings, shop signs, crates and litter. Those are what decide whether the scene reads as a piece of a city or as a model built on a board. Military vehicles in 1:35 scale suit a city scene particularly well, because the contrast between the machine and an ordinary street is clear at first glance.
It pays to start from the layout. Lay the parts out dry on the base, try several arrangements and only then glue. Think about the viewer: whatever is meant to tell the story belongs at the front and at eye level, and the rest only supports the scene. The exact contents and the recommended procedure are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut surplus material away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the remainder off. Wash and degrease before painting, and choose the glue to suit the material of the parts. A street rarely looks clean: keep the base shade on the gray and dull side, draw out joints and corners with a dark wash, bring up edges with a dry brush and add dust at the foot of walls. Leave sharp whites or saturated colors for the small details meant to draw the eye.
