This is a set of white metal tracks in 1:35 scale from Friulmodel. It is not a model but a detail accessory: the individual metal links are joined with the supplied wire pins into a fully workable track. The metal construction gives the running gear faithful weight and a natural sag that plastic tracks from a kit cannot offer.
The Renault R35 was a French light infantry tank of the end of the 1930s, one of the most widespread French tanks at the beginning of the Second World War. It had a small hull with a two-man crew and busy running gear with prominent links, which the metal set casts faithfully and uses to replace the tracks from a plastic kit.
Clean the links of casting remains, assemble them by threading them onto the supplied wire and trim off the excess. White metal holds paint better after a base coat for metal has been sprayed. For a faithful look use a darker wash into the recesses and dust or mud pigments; polished metal spots can be suggested with graphite.
The set is an accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
